Electronic account of a person with a disability
Overview
The electronic account of a person with a disability is the service that enables prompt and convenient online submission of documents for free rehabilitation and assistive products (RAP). It is available at the portal of the CBI, the Centralised Data Bank on Disabilities. Therefore, data on the person with or without a disability in need of RAP from the e-account are entered into the data base.
The following can be done in the e-account:
- to file an application for rehabilitation and assistive products: prosthetic devices, orthopaedic footwear, wheelchairs, crutches etc. The full list of the products can be found here;
- to file an application for selection of the necessary RAP to the specific company;
- to receive a notice of the outcome of the application.
Two sign-up stages need to be completed to use the electronic account:
- primary (if you have not signed up for the CBI before);
- secondary (to gain access to all the account functions).
Primary registration.
If you are signing up for the portal for the first time, you have to fill in the application and sign it with the qualified electronic signature (QES). More detailed information on how it is done can be found here.
Secondary registration.
It is carried out when you have already signed up for the CBI, but do not have access to all the functions. There are the following ways: on your own on the portal with the QES or, where there is none, by contacting the social protection authority in the community directly. You will be provided with the paper authorisation code which must not be disclosed to anyone else until the portal registration is complete. The detailed guidelines can be found here.
Following the authorisation, you will be granted full access to the information and services available at the portal. More detailed information can be found here.
