Volunteering

Volunteering is voluntary non-profit activity that includes granting ad to people or organizations.

A volunteer is a natural person who takes voluntary and motivated part in volunteering, personally or via non-profit organizations and institutions listed in the Register of Non-Profit Institutions and Organizations.

Volunteers may be Ukrainian citizens, foreigners and stateless persons who legally stay in Ukraine.

Thus, foreigners and stateless persons can work as volunteers via volunteering organizations and institutions. In this case, organizations and institutions inform the National Social Service of Ukraine thereof in writing within five business days following the involvement.

The National Social Service publishes information on the organizations and institutions that involve volunteers on its website within three business days after such information is received. More details can be found here.

If a foreigner or a stateless person ceases to be a volunteer, the organization or the institution that has involved such volunteers into its operations informs the State Migration Service thereof within five business days.
