To victims of violence and trafficking in human beings
Preventing and countering domestic violence is one of the priorities of the Ministry of Social Policy of Ukraine. The efforts of the agency are aimed at expanding access of victims of all forms of violence to high-quality timely assistance, in particular, by extending the network of specialised support services for victims, increasing the professional level of the specialists who provide services to victims.
The MSP is also a national coordinator for countering trafficking in human beings.
The Ministry ensures:
- coordination of central and local public authorities;
- drafting of legal and normative acts;
- drafting of the State Programme and annual reports;
- awareness-raising campaigns;
- payment of non-recurring financial assistance to victims;
- cooperation with international organizations
- participation in training of specialists.
The ministries and agencies cooperate with civil society and international organizations in the field of counteraction to trafficking in human beings, in particular, the IOM Mission in Ukraine, the Ukrainian Coalition of Public Organizations to Counter Trafficking in Human Beings, SCO “La Strada — Ukraine”, А21, OSCE, SURGe etc.
